NUS ID is available to students at participating students’ unions and institutions.
Is NUS ID replacing physical student cards?
That depends on your students’ union or institution. Some may fully switch to digital ID, while others may offer NUS ID alongside a physical card.

Why is NUS ID in the Alive App and not in a dedicated NUS ID App?
The Alive App is designed for use across multiple markets and supports not only student IDs, but also IDs for school staff and other groups. It also allows you to add ISIC, ITIC, and IYTC cards to the same profile, which is why the branding is broader and not limited to a single ID.

Download the Alive App, sign in and verify your student status. Once you're set up, your ID will be ready to use straight away.

What if I forget my physical ID card?
No problem - NUS ID is on your phone, so as long as you have it with you, you’re covered.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Your NUS ID is secure. You can log in on a new device, and your ID won’t be accessible to anyone else without your login details. On top of that, it includes a timestamp, a hologram overlay, and screenshot prevention.
Does NUS ID work offline?
Some features may work offline, but you’ll get the best experience with an internet connection. Your NUS ID card is always available offline.

Yes. NUS ID is built with strong security measures to protect your personal information and student status.

How do I access discounts?
You can access discounts directly in the app or by showing your NUS ID to participating retailers.
What kind of discounts are available?
Discounts include food, shopping, travel and online offers - with more added over time.
How is ISIC connected to the NUS ID card?
You can purchase an ISIC (International Student Identity Card) as an add-on to your NUS ID card at a preferential price. This gives you access to a wider range of discounts and international recognition of your student status.
